Combination Welding

Are you interested in a rewarding welding career? Then let STVT help you develop the skills necessary to become an entry-level combination welder in less than a year! Our combination welding (CW) diploma program offers flexible scheduling and hands-on skills training in this exciting field.

Our program is taught by professional instructors in simulated work environments to help you develop the hands-on experience as well as equipment and shop safety skills that employers seek. The CW course of study is designed to equip students with skills and knowledge in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and flux core arc welding (FCAW).

The CW graduate will be qualified for entry-level employment in building construction, shipbuilding, manufacturing, gas and oil field services, and as welding operators. Students must possess a high school diploma, GED or recognized equivalent.
